Hello!
Welcome to my bio!
I’m Alexandra, a current undergraduate student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I’m majoring in Information Sciences, focusing on Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience.
My Background
I transferred to UIUC from Kankakee Community College after completing my Associate in Arts degree in Spring 2022. Most of my coursework before UIUC invoved psychology and design. I expect to graduate with my BSIS from UIUC in Fall 2023.
While attending Kankakee Community College, I worked in the campus art department and was primarily responsible for day-to-day operations.
Before college, I was homeschooled but still found myself extremely busy with dozens of organizations or competitive sports. As such, I have a lot of experience/basic skills in things ranging from livestock care, to dog search and rescue training, to traditional & digital art.

This is only my second semester at UIUC so I feel I’m still picking and choosing different things to get involved with.
- I’m an active member of Psi Eta Mu, the Information Sciences Professional Fraternity.
- I’m beginning to work on HCI and user studies related research projects at the Adaptive Cognition and Interaction Design (ACTION) lab.
- I volunteer with the 4-H National Youth Organization.
- For fun I love falling down rabbit holes of random topics and spending too much time playing video games.
